Arijit Singh is an Indian Singer & Music Composer. He was born on 25 April 1987 at Jiaganj Murshidabad, West Bengal. He sings mainly Hindi songs but have also sing in many other languages. He started his musical training at very young age at home as his maternal aunt used to give him Indian Classical Music training. His parents decided to train him professionally in music. He learned Indian Classical Music By Rajendra Prasad Hazari & learned table by Dhirendra Prasad Hazari. At the age of 9, he got a scholarship for training in vocals in Indian Classical Music.
His musical career started when his Guru adviced him to participate in a singing show named Fame Gurukul(2005), there he finished at 6th place. He then participated in another reality show 10 Ke 10 Le Gaye Dil and won that. He then decided to shift to Mumbai & started a recording studio from the prize money. He started composing music for advertisements,radio stations & news channels. He also worked with music directors like Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Mithoon, Vishal-Shekhar and Pritam, he learned a lot working with them. During this time he also worked on his vocals.
He made his Bollywood Debut with the song ‘Phir Mohabbat’ from the movie Murder 2. He sang more songs that time like Raabta, Uska Hi Banana and Duaa. He came into limelight from the song ‘Tum Hi Ho’ from the movie Aashiqui 2, all other songs from this movie were also hit. For Tum Hi Ho he won many awards and nominations. He also sang some of the popular songs like Kabira, Ilahi from Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, Main Rang Sharbaton Ka, Dhoka Dhadi, Har Kisi Ko, Kabhi Jo Badal Barse& Semi Classical song Laal Ishq from Ramleela.
In 2014 he worked with many music directors and sang some of the beautiful songs like Aaj Phir from Hate Story 2, Samjhawan from Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Sajde from Kill Dil. During 2015 he sang a party song Sooraj Dooba Hain from the movie Roy. Same year he sang Agar Tum Saath Ho which is composed by AR Rahman, this song is a huge hit. He then worked with Gannguli for Khamoshiyan & Hamari Adhuri Kahani Title Track.

Personal Life
In 2014 Arijit Singh married his childhood friend & neighbor Koyel Roy. They have two children.
His songs are the pain relief for many, his soothing voice and those beautiful lyrics makes the songs more amazing. His songs are favourite for not only couples but also singles, he is too much famous among youth. Many young singers & composers admire him to become good at music like him.
He is also very simple guy despite of having so much money & fame he lives so simply and without any controversies. He is not involved in any controversy just once with salman khan at an award show where they got into a dispute, later salman removed Arijit’s song from his movie despite of Arijit giving a public apology.
He currently lives in Andheri, Mumbai, he is also a badminton player. He loves to watch cricket & his favourite cricketers are Sachin Tendulkar, Saurav Ganguly & Jonty Rhodes, he lives a very simple life without any show off, he is such a humble guy.
