Sonu Nigam is an Indian singer, actor and music director who has worked in many bollywood movies. He sang songs in Hindi as well as other languages too. He has also acted in some bollywood movies. Sonu Nigam was born on 30 July 1973 at Faridabad, Haryana to Agam Kumar Nigam and Shobha Nigam. His father was also a professional singer. He has two sisiters Meenal Nigam & Nikita Nigam.
He started singing at the age of 4 where he used to accompany his father Agam Kumar Nigam to sing on Stage. He also used to sing with his father on wedding ceremonies & parties. He learned the music from his father, later he took the training of classical music from Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan. He later moved to Mumbai to pursue his career in Bollywood.
Sonu Nigam made his bollywood debut with the song ‘O Aasman Wale’ from the movie Aaja Meri Jaan (1993). He struggled in his starting days as he was not getting too much opportunities as a playback singer, he earned his livelihood by singing Mohammed Rafi songs. Later Gulshan Kumar founder of T Series got impressed from his talent and offered him to sing for ‘Bewafa Sanam’. The song from this movie ‘Achha Sila Diya Tune’ became a huge hit and Sonu came into notice of many music directors and filmmakers. He sang in many other films like Muqabla (1993), Shabnam (1993), Aag (1994), Khuddar (1994), Hulchul (1994), Dil se (1998), Jaanwar (1999), Barsaat (1995), Baadal (1999), Dulhe Raja (1998), Hero No.1 (1997) and many more.
He also sang some amazing and beautiful songs, he has a very unique voice and his voice is so soothing that it touches everyone’s heart. Some of his famous songs are :-

Sonu Nigam hosted many singing shows he was a host in Sa Re Ga Ma in 1995 and also Kisme Kitna Hai Dum 2002, later he judged many popular shows such as Indian Idol, Chhote Ustaad and X Factor India. He also appeared as a celebrity judge in many shows.
On 15 February he got married with Madhurima Mishra and they have a son named Nevaan.
Sonu Nigam is also involved in many controversies, In 2017 he made some tweets regarding ‘Azaan’ which disturb his sleep as played in loudspeakers, his tweet hurt the sentiments of muslim people and they even issued a fatwa of rewarding who can shave Sonu Nigam’s head.
In June 2020 he posted a video on Instagram saying that there are many outside artist who go through immense pressure and doesn’t get work, he also claimed that there are only two big music companies who are controlling the entire music industry. Same month he posted another video accusing Bhushan Kumar owner of T Series saying that he spoiled his image in the industry. Except some things Sonu Nigam he is a good man, He is a humble guy with loving nature.
Sonu Nigam is also an inspiration of many young singers and artists, many admire him and dreamt to become like him. Sonu Nigam biography inspires many as he is also an outsider and made his name in the industry on his own.
